Passel ARGENTE
![]() |

Orn Free TAA
The obese and indulgent Twi'lek politician Orn Free Taa represented his people in the Galactic Senate during Chancellor Valorum's rule, as well as ten years into Palpatine's term as Supreme Chancellor. The corpulent senator was never one to hide his opinions, and voiced them loudly on the many crucial issues that split the senate. Coming from the poor Outer Rim of Ryloth, Orn Free Taa used his position of influence to satisfy his every whim while on Coruscant. He became quite decadent, flaunting his wealth with gaudy robes and a beautiful red-skinned Twi'lek consort. He is a Twi'lek of Rutian descent, with blue tinted skin, and enormous head-tails which store his excess fat.
Mas AMEDDA
Mas Amedda was the Vice Chair of the Galactic Senate during Chancellor Valorum's term, a position he held a decade into Chancellor Palpatine's rule. Amedda's booming voice often called for order when the partisan nature of the Republic's government degenerated into pointless bickering. Amedda's office was rife with scandal. He has been accused of misusing his parliamentary powers for bribes, though Amedda would stand firm to his own code of honor. Mas Amedda was a Chagrian male, with well developed lethorns draped from his shoulders. His pale blue skin screens out the harmful radiation of his native sun.
Sei TARIA
Sei Taria was Valorum's administrative aide in the senate during his last days as Supreme Chancellor. A colleague of Senator Palpatine, the young Taria learned much from the representative from Naboo. Taria helped Valorum handle the myriad fine details involved in governmental procedure and bureaucracy. A wealthy woman, Taria would attend official senate meetings decked out in expensive septsilk robes. When Valorum was replaced by Chancellor Palpatine, Taria did not continue her role. By ten years into Palpatine's rule, the office of Supreme Chancellor had another administrative aide.
Finis VALORUM
One of the last Supreme Chancellors to hold that office before the Galactic Republic crumbled to make way for an oppressive Empire, Valorum was a well-meaning but ill-fated politician. When the Trade Federation blockaded the peaceful system of Naboo, Valorum circumvented bureaucratic procedure by dispatching a secret mission of Jedi ambassadors to negotiate an end to the crisis. The negotiations failed as the Trade Federation attacked the ambassadors before talks could even begin. Queen Amidala of the Naboo voyaged to Coruscant to present her case to the assembled senate. Valorum was genuinely pleased to see the Queen alive, but he was of no help in the senate hall, where he had to abide by the proper bureaucratic measures. The Trade Federation was quick to stall any of Amidala's claims of invasion by demanding a commission be appointed to investigate the accusation. Frustrated by lack of common sense or interest in what was just, Amidala lambasted the assembled politicians for their ineffective rule. She singled out Valorum specifically, on the advice of Palpatine, for his inability to take decisive action. She called for a Vote of No Confidence in Valorum's rule. The vote was soon seconded, and the political backlash cascaded throughout the rotunda. By the end of the session, Valorum was voted out of office, with no greater crime on his head than being bound by procedure and being subjected to baseless accusations. Little did the Republic realize what they had in store by voting Palpatine to succeed him.
